Qualifications
~ Education: Graduation from an accredited Radiology and|or MRI program
~ Licensure & Certification:
~~ Washington State Radiologic Technologist Certification
~~ ARRT registration in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) and|or Computed Tomography (CT) preferred
~ Experience:
~~ 2+ years in hospital-based radiology preferred
~ Technical Skills:
~~ MRI|MRA contrast injection and monitoring
~~ Troubleshooting imaging equipment and identifying repair needs
~~ Familiarity with teleradiology systems
~~ QA protocol knowledge and execution
~ Soft Skills:
~~ Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
~~ Ability to work independently and collaboratively with interdepartmental teams
~~ Excellent communication and patient service focus
Key Responsibilities
~ Operate MRI|MRA equipment in accordance with hospital and departmental protocols
~ Administer contrast injections safely and effectively
~ Perform exams accurately and ensure timely teleradiology transmission
~ Collaborate with the Diagnostic Imaging team to support complete patient care
~ Maintain infection control and safety standards
~ Review and update departmental policies and communicate changes to staff
~ Maintain accurate records, complete QA documentation, and ensure compliance
~ Troubleshoot and maintain imaging equipment, alerting the Diagnostic Imaging Director to any service needs
~ Contribute to the scheduling, workflow management, and support team operations
~ Deliver compassionate, confidential patient care throughout the imaging process
This role reports directly to the Diagnostic Imaging Director and plays a key part in the departments success and innovation.
